iPod video/Alarm clock

Post by Guest »

Hi,

i'm facing some wierd behaviour when trying to setup an alarm Clock on an iPod, after loading it with MM (The operation works well when using iTunes)

Here are the steps to reproduce the bug:

Here is how things work with iTunes

1-Launch iTunes and load a playlist to ur iPod Video

2-Eject iPod

3-Setup an alarm clock on your iPod (choose a playlist to be played at wake up)

4-turn off iPod

The alarm will go off at the programmed time.(i.e. iPod turns on and play the selected playlist) OK

Here is how things do *not* work with MediaMonkey

1-Launch MM an load a playlist on ur iPod Video

2-Eject iPod

3-Setup an alarm clock on your iPod. (choose a playlist to be played at wake up)

4-turn off iPod

The iPod will turn on at the programmed time, but nothing else happens. KO

Besides that, everything(iPod database, playlist, etc...) is fine so far.

Any clue? I have the last iPod firmware installed and I'm using MM 2.5.1.934

Thanks

I have no clue why this is since i don't have an iPod but the latest version of MM 2.5.4. Perhaps it solve the problem?

You are right, that's for the report. iPod needs some specific data to be filled in, it will be fixed in the next release (probably yet in MM 2.5.5 final release).
