MediaMonkey 2.5.2.947 RC-1

Post by rusty »

This release candidate for version 2.5.2 includes a few more fixes to recently reported bugs + some minor improvements here and there (you'll notice a major speedup 2-3x with auto-conversion if configured at -q9). If all goes well, it will become the new release.

As usual, feedback is much appreciated.

What's new?
  • - Added command line option to start in Party Mode ( /party)
    - Added command line option to start up and play ( /play)
    - Added track length calculation for VBR files missing header info
    - Added Type-Browsing to Scan Folders dialog
    - Improved auto-tag from Amazon search results
    - Updated help file
    - Updated default masks
    - Fixed occasional freezes related to file locking
    - Fixed MP3 encoding is slow even at -q 9 (updated to LAME 3.97b2)
    - Fixed FreeDB results should display properly even for incorrectly encoded data
    - Fixed CD Burning: write method is sometimes blank
    - Fixed Audio CD Burning: tracks fail to burn after a faulty file
    - Fixed Audio CD Burning: volume leveling doesn't work correctly
    - Fixed regression: some flac files fail to play correctly
    - Fixed regression: keyboard shortcuts conflict
