Settings not being saved in 2.5.2.943 and later

none of the settings are being saved in versions after 2.5.2.942. It behaves as if it was being run for the first time after installation

HAH and I thought I was the only one who experienced this.

had problems with RC-1 today too.

yeah....that happened to me too but i thought it had nothing to do with the monkey....i thought it was a windows thing. it asked for the regkey again and all.

I can confirm Same behavior in RC-1.
Debug logs PLZ. for comparation, logging and bugfixing.

I don't have debug logs, but I have also had this happen to me, the mediamonkey ini in the MM folder got rest to zero bytes I have a shared MM install mediamonkey.ini/mediamonkey db not sure if related.

Whenever this happens, I get a new MM.ini and database in my music\mm folder.

I sent the mediamonky.ini and debug log to support email regarding the failure to load the 'shared' mediamonkey.ini problem.

What happens is MM does not seem to recognize the existing mediamonkey.ini in the program folder (I am not using my music\mediamonkey) and then starts up in the 'first run' mode, with default skin and asking to ask for tracks and showing the tip of the day.

At first I thought the now playing playlist was not being saved properly, but it seems that the playlist saves, but the position is not saved (nor are other settings.

Whenever I try to use the 'non working ini', MM will startup in 'first run' mode with the welcom message etc then create new ini and database in the my music\mediamonkey folder.

Hmm, seems we have a Cut&Paste problem here.

Anyway, the following values seem to be causing the trouble. They are in the "working" version, but are absent in the "broken" version:

My settings seemed to be saved, but my now playing playlist is not. I'll try to get a debug log soon.

I'm also seeing the same problem in RC-2, settings are not being saved, this also applies to changes made to toolbars.
