No, but this has been requested as a feature. Back then the developers responded positively to the idea to add a tab to the song properties window with all the playlists the song belongs to. So far nothing has been implemented yet.

Is this about normal playlists, or also auto-playlists?
For normal playlists, this can probably easily be done using scripting (see PlaylistsSongs table: get SongId for current song, look if it's in the PlaylistSongs table, get resulting PlaylistId's, get playlist names from the Playlists table, using the id).
For auto-playlists, that would be much more difficult, and require lots of cpu-power (performance would go dooooooooown).
Cheers

Where and how do I enter this script? And is there a way to display the playlists that the file is in, in the main window with the other file information?onkel_enno wrote:I made a script which could be used for that. I'll search ...

Hello
The above linked script is an Auto-script.
From the faq ( http://faq.mediamonkey.com/index.php?ac ... artlang=en ):
- Close MediaMonkey
- Copy the posted code (green text) to a new plain text file (e.g. with notepad) and save this file as "RemoveFromPlayList.vbs" (without quotation marks) to the MediaMonkey Scripts\Auto folder (normally C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto).
- Start MediaMonkey (-> the script will automaticly start and add context menu items).
Cheers

Own explanation:Auto-scripts that don't have an installer:
Close MediaMonkey
If the script is not available as a file, open Notepad, copy the text of the script, paste it into notepad, and then save the file with the appropriate script name (e.g. "newscript.vbs").
Copy the script file to the following folder:
Program FilesMediaMonkeyscriptsauto
Restart MediaMonkey
- Close MediaMonkey

So how do I see the associated playlists?
OK, I have the VBS file in the folder and restarted. Now how do I see the playlists associated with the songs?Steegy wrote:Hello

I do not see any new "...context menu items..." unless this requires the MonkeyMediaGold version.
Thanks for your time on creating this script. Glad other members are able to use this too.

OOPS - Never mind. I installed the latest version. After it opened it took about 30 minutes for the script to run.
Once the script was complete, Right click on the file and there is an option listed above the Properties option that reads "Entfernen Aus..."
Not sure what that says, and I suspect I can change the script to change the text.
THanks... It works quite well for my 15000 files and over 50 playlists.
I can finally find those "mis labeled" files that I put in the wrong playlist.

That means "remove from ...".thefaceman wrote:Once the script was complete, Right click on the file and there is an option listed above the Properties option that reads "Entfernen Aus..."

The Script was made to remove Songs from a Playlist, if the Song is included in the Playlist. So if you only want to know in which Playlists the Song is, only open the Menu, don't click the Playlist
