MM Windows 10 not responding

MM stalls during startup. I tried re-installation over the current version with no luck. I removed customizations - no luck. Program starts - after reinstall opens to the web page as expected. Selecting anything else just gets a spinning wheel. I do have backups of my c: drive. Should I try just over-writing the current installation with the backup. If yes, what's the path/location to accomplish a restore?

Well I made some progress. I turned off skinning when given the choice during installation and functionality has returned. I still would like to use another skin, but any attempt results in program freezing on restart. I do notice that trying to apply a different skin does not seem to work - the background from the last-used skin re-appears even though I have selected an entirely different skin. I can probably find an older .ini file that used a different skin. Should I try that.

Are you using any form of skinning applications for Windows itself (like Windows Blinds)?

No - Windows out of the box, unaltered. At this point I'm back to a usable version. It doesn't quite look the same, but I can change the skins and still have MM function. I'll continue to "play". If I find anything else useful, I'll post back.
