ok, btw the foobar2000 (and its fooUPnP plugin) uses the same UPnP library (Platinum) as MediaMonkey, that could be also another reason for the interfering issue you observed.

Thanks Ludek - The only reason i had BubbleUPNP on the PC was to be able to cast from Foobar. I can also control Foobar from the phone using BubbleUPNP android. So i'll do this & remove BubbleUPNP from the PC.

I haven't tested BubbleUPnP on my PC yet, but from what I see here: https://bubblesoftapps.com/bubbleupnpserver2/
It creates proxies for the available media servers -- so I yes, it interferes with the other media servers.

I guess we sould add this to a KB article.

Thanks Lowlander
There's a Debug log in my original post

Capturing this problem in a debug log (step 4b) might show what is the issue: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 You can attach a debug log to a Support Ticket for a developer to analyze.

I have BubbleUPNP installed on the PC & Android phone.
BubbleUPNP uses port 58050. Mediamonkey doesn't seem to use that port.

I think there is some sort of conflict between BubbleUPNP on the PC & Mediamonkey but i have no idea what it is. (need a streaming guru here)
If i remove BubbleUPNP from the PC then Mediamonkey casting to Chromecast & Chromecast Audio works ok.

I don't think i actually need BubbleUPNP on the PC so i'll leave it off

So starting BubbleUPnP stops MM5 from being to cast? Is BubbleUPnP installed on your PC or a smartphone?

Check the port Media Server in MediaMonkey uses and what port BubbleUPnP uses, maybe there is a conflict in those settings.

OK - MM5 can now see & play all my Chromecast devices. (Turned off the Firewall then restarted Win10 & turned firewall on)
When i turn BubbleUPNP on & create the renderers MM5 can see the DLNA devices but cannot play to them. Is there a conflict between BubbleUPNP & MM5?

Any DLNA capable hardware or software on your network.

Where do i look to see if the DLNA client can "see" the server?
I have just discovered if I exit from BubbleUPNP then MM5 will cast ok to my two Chromecast devices but does not recognise my Chromecast audio
I'll disable the firewall & see what happens

Can any DLNA client on your network see the MediaMonkey Server?

With MMA not finding MMW and Casting not working the likely culprit is the Firewall. You could try to temporarily disable it (disconnecting your network from internet for safety should not impede this testing as long as your router itself is still running).

the server is enabled & mediamonkey is an allowed app in the firewall

Do you have a Media Server enabled in MediaMonkey (Tools > Options > Media Servers) and did you check your Firewall to make sure it's allowing MediaMonkey through [required].

Just checking and 2286 can Cast to Chromecast and DLNA clients.

Screenshot shows 2 Google Cast devices. Does playback to any of the DLNA clients work?
