I have got ID 3C804969 debug log, but that after aborting MM with Cntrl+Alt+Del and Windows Task Administrator, so I doubt that it is related. The problem is that when the blinking starts you loose control, and I have not wait to see what is going to happen later since MediaMonkey continues to blink.
Thank you for the clarification regarding FreeDB. I have made some other tests and the Dbase choice has nothing to do with this issue (it happens equally with MusicBrainz, FreeDB (CDDBP), FreeDB (HTTP)).
3a) Yes, I open the options from the Auto-Tag window.
3b) I mean, Auto-Tag windows opens on top of MediaMonkey interface but it does not cover it completely so, in order to find somthing to play somewhere else in the Library, I can still bring MediaMonkey interface to the front clicking on one of its still visible borders. The Auto-Tag window, from this moment, goes to the back. The blinking seems to be a struggle between both window to display on the front plane.
Once you start playing any track, the blinking starts.
