Hmmm, I tested and it worked for me. Interesting Debug log will be very useful.

Along with above, in this case FULL debug log is a must to see what is going on as even on Multi-Zone transcoding must be done. I guess Something for @Ludek to analyze.

Actually only one. We need full debug log (Compressed in Ticket) as this behavior you describe should not happen, especially as before I suggested it I tried on my system (Few MM5 PCs, Google/Asus Nexus player). After that I am not sure what you can try because it is on us to find explain what happened fix the issue.
