Which Build (Help > About) of MMW, are you doing this in MMW or File Explorer and is Tools > Options >
Playback Rules set to override this with a different setting for the
Type of file you're double clicking on?
Build is 5.1.0.2814
I'm doing this in MMW (I'm not sure what you mean by doing it in file explorer). I'm doing the actions in Music > All tracks
Ah. In Playback rules the Play Now action was set to include all subsequent. Changing to 'Play selected files only' does not add all subsequent, so that's great.
However, when I now double click on a track in All tracks it resumes playing the previous track if paused rather than the track I'm clicking on. I have to right click and select Play now to play that particular track. 'Play now' in this case has a different meaning in settings from 'Play now' in the right-click menu of All tracks.
Without clearing the list then double clicking a track has the effect of resuming playback of the current track regardless of which track I double click on. This is counter-intuitive. Is this a bug, or is it supposed to do that?
From a usability point of view it would be helpful if on the Options > Player screen the words 'Default action' said 'Double-click/enter default action' rather than having to mouse over to find out what it relates to.
Also I didn't find the relationship between 'Player' as setting global defaults, and 'Playback rules' as meaning 'override global defaults for content types' at all clear.
thanks
