"Definite archive folder"?? Is this going to be another "rabbit hole"? Or, is just something simple?
It is actually something Simpler. It is an Shared folder on my NAS (Available on Local LAN as read only for everyone except my PC) using RAID10 (4x12TB WD Red Pro, replaced 2 by two every 5 years to keep them in data recovery warranty) where all my CD rips are (7000 Compilation CDs, 4500 EPs and around 3000 Album CDs I collected over 30 years and RIP while they are physically packed in Basement "clean and stable" room) and contain all tracks that have correct Metadata and those files never rescan it is just final destination for MM Auto Organize when all Info is correct.
I have RIP folder, DL Folder (Podcasts, Audio Books,...), Which are added in Add Rescan (Some Manually, some on Startup+Continous) and Copy folder for temp files (usually empty as it is TEMP Media folder) so I do this:
1. RIP/DL files to those folders
2. Make sure that files are in correct quality and Metadata entered, edited, Album art, ...
3. Once I am sure that is done an dI am satisfied I Auto Organize them to Archive folder (Authorize write access)
As for copy folder that can contain for example copy of files from friends messy music folder which I navigate thru file explorer or MM Folders browser (they can contain thousands of files at one point so no monitoring) -> press INS -> scan files -> Go to Auto Playlists (Named "!Added for edit in Temp") Edit Metadata and Move them using Auto Organize to correct folders (eg. either back on friends PC/Phone/HDD/...) keeping Background scanning to minimum while my 155k of tracks are in Archive folder.
ATM I am organizing Local radio station media collection Library and TEMP folder contain 10k+ RIP tracks I will compare with my collection to replace lower quality rips with lossless copies (Auto Organize Copy) and organize/sync to External Drive to give it back to them before I delete the TEMP folder.
