Re: Generic Hard drive and FORD sync
I actually changed my plan. I sync everything including the playlists into the root folder. I have no folder structure, and It works fine. I just have to fix all of my tags to include my album art files now and I will be good. It did rebuild the database a few times in the car, but after like 2 week...

Re: Network DB extremely slow
I have almost the same setup as you do, the same nas box, 3 pc's (1 vista64, 2 win 7 32 bit). I have 30,000 songs+- and have no speed issues. I just upgraded to mm4 with no problems. Are you using the full path name in your library and your edited mediamonkey.ini file? If you use mapped drive letter...

Re: album art to tags
Is it a safe bet that once I embed the art to the tags I can delete it? Or do you, or most people, keep a copy in the folder?
Is there a way to search weather or not files have embeded artwork? Trial and error will take forever

album art to tags
Can I select all of the music in my entire library and save album art to tag? Will it look in each directory and attach the right file to the tag, or do I have to do it one album at a time? All of my music has art files, but some are stored in a file in the folder, and some are saved to the tags. My...

DB file after upgrade to 4.03
I upgraded to 4.03 Lifetime LIC from 3. I have 3 computers and am using a NAS box to store my library. I have my DB file stored there. I had edited the mediamonkey.ini file ( DBNAME=\\DLINK-4A1914\Volume_2\Music\media monkey\MM.DB) to point to the shared DB file, but after the upgrade I noticed a ne...

Re: Scared to upgrade to mm4
I found the compelling reason to upgrade. Info from web (amazon) doesn't work on mm3 anymore. After many backups I will be upgrading!

Re: Scared to upgrade to mm4
Come to think of it, I have been amassing quite a collection of MKV's. I have been ripping my dvds also, will I get better quality playback for my flac files on my denon receiver using my HDMI connection?

Re: Scared to upgrade to mm4
I don't need video, and everything has been working perfectly. I don't have any playcounts that I care about, just a bunch of auto-playlists. just wanted to upgrade so when my ipod dies I can get one of those new touches. I have a gen 5 80gb classic that doesn't have the same battery life that it us...

Re: Generic Hard drive sync
That worked, but my 5 playlists are still showing up empty in my ford sync. Is there a way to force Itunes style folders. My 160GB Ipod has the same songs/playlists on it, and the playlists work when I plug in the ipod. Is it possible that it has not finished indexing? It seems to index every time i...
