Fantastic job!
first up, let me just say that this is something I've been waiting for for god knows how long and I'm just really pleased that you've gone out and made it. Allmusic is by far the best music database on the net and this lovely plugin has enabled me to get a much better hold on my music collection. With the mood, style and themes, I'll be able to configure all kinds of automatic playlists within mood and subgenre and so on so that's great.
I had a few issues with the use of the plugin that I think might go towards improving how it works:
(Apologies if any of these issues have come up before but I don't have time to read through nine pages of forum posts)
1. How about a selection in the options that allows you to override the shortcut key (ctrl-l I think) in Mediamonkey to 'tag from amazon' and directly start WST with your selection in it.
2. Is it possible (or would it be) to resize the window with the editing tracks at the bottom. At the moment you can only display six - if I could resize it to display as many as I wanted it would make editing easier as I wouldn't have to slide the selection area up and down every time I wanted to change the track for selection.
3. Quite often I've pressed TagtoMediamonkey and several of the tracks have not been updated - then I press it again and it updates the tags. Bit of an intermittent fault, that one.
4. Also, I've found that when you deselect something, eg Artist, Track - the program doesn't respond until either a restart or the next go and ends up updating the field anyway - even though it isn't selected.
5. I haven't quite figured why the album review can't be written to the comments field and have ended up copy and pasting it anyway...Is it legal? I know allmusic are a little tight with their data...
Anyway, keep the updates coming and most of all - great work. Really great work.
Maybe next something that scours through your mediamonkey database and automatically adds lyrics like iArt...
Best regards,
James.

1. Overriding that standard MM behaviour is impossible (as far as I know from some time ago). However, you can use a script to add shortcuts (toolbar icon and context menu item (right-click menu)) to WST from withing MM, so you can immediately search for the selected album on allmusic.com (for example): http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 1280#41280 (more advanced command line parameters are mentioned here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 7512#57512 )
2. Possibility to resize the window with the editing tracks at the bottom is very high on the "wishlist".
3. I'll watch out for this one. I haven't noticed this before.
4. Selected tracks in MM are (currently = still test version) only shown in WST using the GetFromMediaMonkey button. If you change selection in MM, that won't be automaticly changed in WST. This is by design, and TagFromAmazon works like that too.
Fields that will be changed have to be checked in the preview pane (the one from your 2nd point). If a track is visible in that pane and is checked, it will be updated. Some fields are visible through the preview pane, and will have a yellow background when they are not the same as the original (from MM).
5. This doesn't have anything to do with legality. It's just a feature I still have to implement. As you proposed yourself too, you can copy the album review to the comment field manually, for now.
Thanks for the comments and nice words.
A fully automatical program is fare future, mostly because the sources are not 100 % good yet (results don't match always) and so always human intervention is needed (and wanted for good quality, in my opinion).

Re: Moods and Styles
Hey Volition,
Go to options, more options and you'll find a window that says tagging masks. Select, for example, one of the custom fields and enter one of the prompts that comes up when you do a mouse over the area - %moods%, %style% etc. Restart the program (or get again from MM) and bob's your mother's brother

Hello,
first of all, let me say that your Web Sources tagger is really awesome.
However, I got the following problem:
My files only get tagged when the album art is imported. If I have unchecked the Album art checkbox none of the other information gets written to my files.
There is no error message, Web Sources Tagger just doesn't do anything.
Is this a common bug or is something wrong with my installation?
Regards,
mattisse
P.S. Sorry, if this problem was reported before and I didn't notice it.

Yep, I just noticed this too. I'll take a look at WST this afternoon. I kind of forgot about it the last days/week (other things to do, like school ...).
Extensions: ExternalTools, ExtractFields, SongPreviewer, LinkedTracks, CleanImport, and some other scripts (Need Help with Addons > List of All Scripts).
Done today (no download available yet):
- FIXED: "Files only get tagged when album art checkbox is checked"
- IMPROVED: Small change that causes better handling of invalid script results (forbidden characters are replaced).
- FIXED: "One invalid index page (e.g. Internal Server Error on Amazon) stops the downloading/parsing of more index pages for the current search"
- IMPROVED: Changed Script/Web Source warning message's icon to "warning" style and made it look a bit nicer. Also added an option to choose to show those warnings or not (I strongly recommend to turn them off, because they are annoying and you usually can't do anything about it).

No, currently there's no way to do that.
Sometimes, things that aren't available yet in WST can be added through extra scripts. Unfortunately the AllMusicGuide website is too complex to find an album for a specific artist.
To give an example of the necessary steps:
- search for an artist
- select wanted artist from list
- open the "discography" tab
- choose! (you can't get them all at once) between "Main Albums", "Compilations", "Singles & EPs", "DVDs & Videos", "Other"
- select wanted album from list
The current way of doing allows only this (what works for most sites):
- search for something (like album name, artist name, ...)
- select wanted item from list
==> For AMG, this is only possible if you search for "album".
I've been thinking to make the WST more advanced, but it would take some time, and certainly: it needs a good concept.
Anyone with a good concept is welcome to pm me...!
And even then, with the current AMG site layout, it would be very difficult to get results on artist searches.
Cheers

Do you have Microsoft .Net Framework Version 2.0 installed?
