"All" option in "My PC" node

Post by Pablo »

Hi. Long time without visiting the forums.
Here's a small wish: add an "all" option when browsing the My PC nove (i.e. allow the option to look at the contents of all subfolders of the selected folder... like the Location node). I have folders which I do not want to add to the Library, but still want to organize, and being able to look at all subfolders would help.
Also, it would be good if the "all" in Location, Artist, etc, nodes was the first item in the list rather than the last (when the list is too long, one needs to scroll to get to "all").

All nodes in the My Computer nodes might not be doable due to performance. It would probably take MM quit a while to read thru all the folders for media files. (A HDD of 300-400gb would take a while). In comparison the location node only has to read the DB instead.
This feature has been requested before as well as moving the all node up to the top spot in the tree (I would like that very much myself).

I agree about performance, but the process could run in its own thread. Besides, nobody would select the HD root except may be by mistake...

'All' nodes will be (optionally) present in My Computer node in MediaMonkey 2.3.
