A manual (or tutorial)? (STILL WONDERING...)

Post by LilJoe »

Is there a user manual planned for MM3? Alternately, are there any tutorials out there for the software?

Thanks for the link. Looks pretty great. Is that updated yet for MM3?

Also, is there a .pdf version? I'd love to print it out (I'm not much for reading long documents on a screen).

You can print the Web Help via the button in the upper-right corner, or just the Print button in your browser. Yes, it will be quite long, but if you prefer you can save the page you are viewing in you Hard drive and print it later.

Nah, that just prints the currently displayed topic. I want to be able to print the whole thing at once.

Someone must have the source text for the online help. It would be fairly easy to just convert that into a full-fledged .PDF manual. I'm certain there must be others like myself looking for something like that.

Could help bring more people to Media Monkey too. The first time I heard about MM, I looked for a manual online - when I couldn't find one, I almost didn't download the software. (Glad I did though!)

Bumping this back to the first page...

Still wondering about this... also, appears that the online help is for version 2.x? Is a manual/documentation being readied for MM3?

If no one is going to write a proper manual in a text format (pdf, word, or whatever) i'll be proud to create one in pdf. Of course starting from the online help for the new featurs in MM3, as it comes out.
What do you think about it?

That would be great, Fraxav. Really great.

Someone over at the Reaper forum did the same thing. It was a big hit - they actually wound up having enough of a demand for a printed/bound copy, that they wound up selling printed copies and making a bit of income (while still giving the PDF version away).

So, if I'm not missing another person that already has that duty/desire, I declare myself the Manual Writer :P.
I'll wait till i can found some tutorials on the new features in MM3, than I'm writing down this PDF and publishing it in some new topic in this forum (of course you'll be notified).
Well, before starting I'll have to ask to the team if they are already working on a manual in pdf  .
That's all, for now, folks ;)

I thought it was me. I have used Gold for several years. The app seemed pretty intuitive. Just downloaded the latest version and I find I can get it to play....one song at a time. Said to self...must have to read the manual. Haha. Media Monkey ....get your stuff together! You are uploading crap! I seriously doubt you know what you are doing!

There's never been an auto-stop after every song. There is the manual Play > Stop After Current which needs to be enabled each time you play a song. And: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 92#p406492
