Auto-Fill track numbers

Post by jaxjon »

I thought of another option for MMonkey. How about a function that will enable the user to select tracks and group them in the order desired (drag-drop) and then select them, right click, and auto-fill the track numbers 1-xx or n-xx. I realize this can be done in the playlist by creating a playlist, manipulating it , and then saving the playlist, but it would maybe be better if it is part of the main database screen. If there is a better way to do this simply now in MediaMonkey please let me know. Thanks.

Such feature could be useful sometimes. Also scripting could be used for this, but it would need to be possible to order the tracks first of all.

I think I have sugested similar feature in my posts. Something like internal
Columns PlaylistOrder, Playlistname, Playlist index(Which allready exists) in MM.

Example:| PLS. Order | PLS. Name | Title | Artist | Track|
| 1. | Peke Club1| 9PM | ATB | 4. |

In My case I need that Track Numbers are same as on Original CD and if I change them I'll lose Lots of Mixed CD Order but also I need to make new Mixes with same songs :(

I think that a possibility of manual ordering of tracks in all views would solve most of the needs. The rest could be done e.g. by scripting or some other (new) features.
