Empty folders?
For some reason I have a bunch of empty folders in my music library.I am using auto organize and I have delete empty folders checked off.I have the option to see hidden files and folders to make sure nothing was left behind in the empty folders and there is nothing in them.

See here for more information and a few solutions.
Most likely you have left your music in the standard Windows "...\Music" folder, which WMP also accesses, leaving behind hidden system files (not just normal hidden files) of art and what-not, thus interfering with the expected operations of Auto-Organize.

Re: Empty folders?
Thanks for the reply.I am not using the default windows music directory so we can rule that out.The solution in that thread is to use a script or alternate program to delete the empty folders. To me,that is just a band-aid for the problem and i would rather figure out why MM is not taking care of the empty folders.Kilmatead wrote:See here for more information and a few solutions.

Haemophiliacs can't be choosers, or something like that.
A palliative goes a long way in the desert.
Try unchecking 'hide protected operating system files' in the windows folder 'View' options (not just "show hidden files and folders"), so you can see exactly what is in the folders themselves, as obviously MM thinks something is still there, or is denying you access privilege, which wouldn't make sense if Auto Organize worked in the first place.
I do know that MM won't automatically delete the folders of deleted whole albums (which is a bug for sure), however your problem sounds more systemic.

All of the empty folders are from whole albums so I guess this is a bug like you suggested?Kilmatead wrote:Haemophiliacs can't be choosers, or something like that.A palliative goes a long way in the desert.
