Insignia Sport...........Problem?

Post by jjhearn »

I have a 4gb Sport. Somehow or another I mangaed to bring an attatched/hidden file over to my player. What I mean is, I can not physically go into my playlists and find this file. My problem is that this file is causing my layer to freeze up. I thought I had it narrowed it down to a certain album, but when I deleted that album, it eventually froze again. Is there anyway to locate this file, delete it, or anything?

thanks

You can try and look at the device using Windows Explorer, assuming you are using windows, and then once the device is selected open the folder options through the tool menu and then select "show hidden files and folders'' via the view tab.

Ok PushPull. When I connected my player to the PC, the option to view files using the W.E. came up. I clicked on it and it showed the available space. I clicked on it to open the files. With all the files (music, video, audiobooks, etc..) there were 2 icons labeled with the DevIcon title. I deleted them off the harddrive, but when I disconnected and reconnected -2 times- it still shows up. Any suggestions?

OK update. I googled the file that I have showing up. It seems that it is a common thing among "Sports." I am going to update the firmware and see how that goes. Some have said with previous updates that it dleted or hid the files so they didn't pop up. We'll see.
