Hello all,
Can anyone tell me how to copy my current library which is lots of folders of FLAC files and cover art to another disc drive so that the copied files are MP3 instead of FLAC, the cover art goes along, and the folder structure is also retained?
Thanks!

Lowlander,
Will that process also copy the cover art files?
Thanks!

In most cases it should. Do you have the Album Art embedded or saved as external files?

The art is in external files...I didn't think art could be embedded in FLAC files, but I'm not an expert!
Re: Copying library into new format while also copying cover art
flac supports embedded art since like 1.1.3 or 1.1.4, a couple years now anyway

Re: Copying library into new format while also copying cover art
So that leads me to two questions:
1) How can I tell if the art is embedded in a file?
2) If it's not embedded, how can I copy my library to another disk drive while converting the file type in the process and keeping the separate cover art files?
Thanks again!

Re: Copying library into new format while also copying cover art
1) you can look at the mm track properties > album art and mouse over the image to see if its enbedded or external
2) I don't know if MM copies external art or not, but you can convert to a new file type on a different drive by tools > convert audio format > select approriate file mask on new drive/path.
ie
d:\<path>
e:\<album artist>\<album>\<track#> - <artist> - <title>
etc
