What are the key advantages to the full version?

Post by pbriggsiam »

Hi,

One other question...what are the key advantages for having the full version. Beyond the fact that this seems to be a great product worth paying for as it is and beyond the marketing, what makes it worthwhile to get the full version.

Thanks,

For me... and this is not exhaustive...

1) The developers need the money to continue enhancing even the "free" version.
2) The advanced auto-playlists
3) The ability to encode MP3's after the expiry period

I've been using the program for several years now and consider it to be one of my best purchases. It continues to evolve as technology changes and there are improvements with each new release. The developers respond quickly to user input and are open to suggestions. I haven't found many other companies as close to their users as you will find here. I highly recommend purchasing the "Gold" lifetime version to receive free updates past the 2.x version.

I love the File Monitor, couldn't live without it (well, musically speaking) - I believe this is only available with the Gold version.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.

For me it's the autoplaylists. This really makes my music accesible.

The auto-playlists are like the most useful thing in the world. Examples are the ones that are in the free version like top 50 played, all the favorites ones and the last (i think) 50 played.

I also have a playlist for each rating sorted by play number so I can easily sync to my mp3 player. And I also have a new favorites playlist that shows my favorite tracks that I have acquired in the last month.

And don't forget a nice autoplaylist for the upcomming autoDJ (MM 2.5) and even for copying files to other PC's (like your work PC).
