I'm not sure why you're seeing this, but it sounds like the old DB was used as you have old added dates.

Hi,

May I ask what is the proper way to install an upgrade version of MM4 portable? I'd like not to have to mess with re-adding the various plugins, etc., that would be necessary in a clean install. I'm hesitant to overwrite my current installation, even if I backup my .ini and db folders -- will I have to reinstall add ons? Should I delete the original folder after making copies of those two items?

Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere that would help us figure this out?

Thanks for your help and sorry to need to ask for it.

If you already had a Portable MediaMonkey 4 install just install the new version as Portable right over the current install to upgrade. This should keep settings, database and plugins.

If you come from MediaMonkey 3 I think it is best to install in a new folder. Than transfer the database over to the Portable folder and then set things up and reinstall plugins.

I have Media Monkey Gold ver 4.0.0.1459 installed with lifetime upgrade support.
I see there is a version 4.02 available for the basic version. Is there an upgrade for Gold available?
If so, where do I obtain it and the instructions to ensure I don't trash any of my information appended to files.

Updates to MediaMonkey are always available to both Free and Gold users and just installing over the current install should be sufficient: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 45#p324845
