Hi there
I use an app on my Android devices called Skifta. It's an excellent piece of software that utilises uPnP and DLNA to play music and other media between devices. Mostly, it works fine, but with Mediamonkey, when I use it as a media remote to play a whole album or playlist, it stops playing after one track (This is using MM as both the source and output, from the options in Skifta). This used to work fine but Skifta have changed the way their app works recently (Expecting a 'Track Finished' event notification from MM, rather than constantly polling MM which is what it used to do. This new way is lest costly in processor and memory usage on the remote device and is how it should work (they say). In fairness it works fine with WMP (but I'm absolutely not prepared to start using that pile of junk!).
Anyway, they firmly lay the blame with Mediamonkey saying it doesn't perform properly under DLNA protocols. What do you think?
Here's a link to the problem I raised in their forums: http://forums.skifta.com/topic/remote-control-option
I hope someone can fix this as it's really annoying.
