Wishlist: Access tunes on a NAS box across the Inet

I don't see a way to do this and really guess that it is not possible but if you don't ask ...

I have a NAS box connected to my network. A Buffalo LS-XL series. It has webaccess built in that works quite well (at least after the latest update). There is also a buffalo android app (and on for i ) that allows connection. I can surf the folders etc quite easily. Even without the app there is web access, through their site, and might be able to access that way.

What would be great is to be able to create a playlist (outside of MM but in MMA) maybe or at least access a folder on the NAS drive in MMA and be able to play the music.

I have a 32gig card and carry 28+gig with me but let's face it ... when you have over 700gig 28 is never enough

So some way for MMA to see the folders and play the data would be good.

of course if someone says it already does it I will feel extra stupid .. but will be very happy.

You can enable media sharing in MMW to outside networks so that they are available over the internet. See: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... ervers/4.0

However, I don't have any Android devices so I have not been able to play with MMA at all, and I don't know if they support accessing external shares. You would need to be able to put in the IP address where you are sharing from. If MMA can't do it, there are other apps that can.

Edit: at any rate I imagine they will add that functionality to later builds of MMA, since they already added it for MMW (as the client).
