MMA 124 - Sometimes HOME stops song and exits completely

I know this is new behavior as I have tested this a lot. I haven't played with MMA for the last week since the update to 124. Some of the things I have noticed.

1) Start MMA and it starts to "Options mode". at the bottom is the thumbnail of currently selected song. On the right is the PAUSE button and forward. Not the PLAY button. This is not consistent ... only occasional.

2) Start MMA and it starts to "Options mode". Play song. Sometimes HOME or BACK will stop MMA .. sometimes not

3) Start MMA and it starts to "Options mode". Play song (or not) and then hit thumbnail. With song playing again sometimes HOME or BACK will stop MMA .. sometimes not.

I am also seeing the occasional Stop on Display timeout. But this time around you have to actually tap the Play icon ... not just turn on the display.

For me playback stops on screen rotation, screen time out and when turning off screen.

Now it works as expected doing all those actions.

I've been encountering unexpected stop on Play followed by turning on the car head unit.

I just saw it again, so it does occur under certain circumstances on 124. However I haven't noticed a pattern.

It seems to only affect the Now Playing screen. If you go to the Now Playing list or other screen I don't see this problem.

Today, also odd ... I was on Cover screen playing. Rotate stopped it. I started it. Display timeout stopped it. I started it. Display timeout stopped it. I changed time out to 10 minutes then started. After about 3-4 minutes it went off and there was a message like "sorry, mediamonkey has stopped .. report". I selected report. MM closed. I started it again and all seemed fine.

Didn't have any of those problems yesterday on the drive (except as noted in first post). Pretty darn odd ... BUT i still love MMA .. yeah! Who wants an app that is perfect <G>

Love this app waaaay better than the one Samsung provide. Loaded it 2 days ago and got MMW 4.1 connecting perfectly via WiFi yesterday.

Slight hitch is that the mp3 stops when the screen goes into power saving mode. It also stops when playing via Bluetooth in the car, so it's not practical to use without a work-around that I found - I discovered that if I open a patience game and leave it open, then MMA continues to play even when the screen goes dark. Presumably the patience game is keeping something 'awake' in the background that allows MMA to keep playing.

Whilst there is a workaround, it would be great to have a fix so I can play music easily while driving without having to park and open a patience game first.

I'm going to try side loading it onto my friend's Kindle Fire as this is way better than her current software too!. It's excellent! Even with this minor issue it's still worth 5*. Thank you, thank you!

I have this same issue (music stopping when screen shuts off) on my Galaxy Note 2. Other than that, I have been very happy with this app so far.

Just happened to me today also with 124, i sent in bug reports via mma's options.

This just happened when I pressed the power button. I was playing a track and had the lyrics on screen when I pressed power. Log uploaded.
