Hi -
You are right - MMA can stand up to any of the Android music players out there, even without MMW! The only thing missing for me is smart playlists on the phone, so I actually use PlayerPro for playing & rating, MMA just for loading tracks.
But I can't delete all my music files on my phone in MMA. 1 at a time, yes, but not ALL.
MMA 222, MMW 1690, Win7x64, WiFi sync to Galaxy S4
Here is what I did:
- sync a bunch of tracks (~2000)
- found some weirdness in MMA in playlists (I had MMW-specific playlists appear on my phone that I did not sync - I was trying to diagnose it when I ran into this, and will submit another bug report when ready), so I decided to delete ALL tracks, and re-try
- I deleted the tracks via the phone's music player (have to b/c of the way some other players work)
- in MMA, the tracks were still showing
- I deleted one track: fine
- went into "Tracks", long pressed on one to get the selection box, then hit the "Select All" icon, and then menu->Delete, expecting them all to be deleted from MMA
BUT, it just went back to the main MMA window. No tracks were deleted. Tried again, same thing.
How do I clear the MMA orphaned track metadata without having to delete one by one 2,878 times?
Thanks!

Hi Toyzrme,
I can't replicate the problem re. deleting all tracks--i.e. when I delete 2000 tracks, they're deleted.
Can you tell me what phone / OS version you're using?
Can you generate a debug log of this?
Note: please do a clean install of MMA beforehand:

Thanks.

Re: Can't delete all music in MMA 222
This is on a Galaxy S4, Android 4.2.2. 64GB microSD card, Class 10.
How long does it take your phone to delete 2000 (or whatever) tracks?
And what operations are valid vs. invalid while MMA is processing all the deletes of the Metadata?
Would it take longer or shorter if the actual tracks were deleted (using another player)?

Re: Can't delete all music in MMA 222
It seems my Samsung takes a relatively long time (from internal memory), couple minutes for a couple hundred files. Another device seems to do this much faster.

Re: Can't delete all music in MMA 222
I'm guessing this timing is the root of the issue - it must have been busy in the background deleting, while I was able to still operate the MM UI.
You might want to check your threading, and even raise a flag if some potentially long-running library operation is in progress in the background, and prevent certain other UI actions if that flag is raised.
