Hi,
I am an IT guy, but new to the android world.
Here is what I am trying to do. I want to copy my flac files to a USB Flash drive and the play them on MediaMonkey on My Galaxy Tab Pro.
I tried following the wiki instructions configuring the USB to generic portable device. I checked copy art to folder and tags. On the widows side it syncs fine.
Then I connect the USB via OTG cable to the tablet. MediaMonkey will play the flac files... but if I try to add them to a play list it says Not a valid track. Also there is no art work.
I tried syncing the tablet to the USB. it uses the windows sync server... and says its synced... but doesn't actually work.
Should there be a sync server on the android?
I have found instructions on how to sync directly to the tablet... but not to a USB.
It seems to me that you should be able to import flac and mp3 files into MediaMonkey Android and it should grab new art work and look up the tab data if needed.
Anyway, if you can point me to some instructions for this it would be great! I know I have a lot to learn!
Thanks or help!

Re: How to sync to a flashdrive?
I suggest for testing things out that you work with (sync as) MP3 instead of FLAC. Although most Android devices should support FLAC it may not be for you device (MMA only supports formats that your device natively supports).
I'm not sure if MMA can do a wifi sync to an OTG USB storage device. I've used it for videos and my device could play them, but haven't tried sync or music.

Hi Lowlander,
Thanks for the quick reply!
This was just my latest attempt. I get the same results with mp3 files. For some reason MMA will actually play the track, but the tags and art are blank. There are a lot of places to configure, on MM, the tablet, and MMA. I will keep studying and hopefully crack it!
I have to believe that someone out there has had this same type of situation. Of course MMA has only been out a few months.
I really love MM on windows. I am having a great time with it!
Thanks again for your help!

Re: How to sync to a flashdrive?
Tag reading is done by Android Media if you don't sync directly to MMA and thus lacks tags generally.
