autorating for albums

Hi,
I was just thinking of a maybe nice option:
whe you have some song of an album with rating, maybe you could get a kind of "album" rating made automaticly. So you could say: lets play some "good" album, without the need of rating all songs of the album.

Don't know if it would really work by doing an average of rating per track for the album.

If you don't understand my idea, i can try again to explain it

I posted something similar just a little while ago, I guess I missed your post. I proposed to have these rating show in the explorer tree as an option.

I did propose to take an average of song ratings as song ratings are stored in the files and the DB and an album rating would only be stored in the DB. As well it would introduce another field of information as well as some confusion probably.

It would be nice if the advanced search would be able to search for this (artist rated 4+ or album 4+).


This would be a nice feature (similar to statistics) that gives some more meta data about your music collection. In case of album ratings it isn't that important as albums are a way to rip off the public (which album does have more than two good songs, compilation ones excluded).
