Does this feature use acoustic fingerprinting or does it read exist tags?

What is the best way to re-write existing song tags withe the correct information?

Just looks at tags, MediaMonkey 5 can do audio fingerprinting.

If you prefer MM 4, there is a script for fingerprinting and lookup with AcoustID: iTunesMonkey 1.0 + Acoustid
