Yes, all apps on my device are updated, I update apps every single day, I have no old apps running on my device.

So I was in the same boat, all the apps on my phone were updated. I decided to try reinstalling Google app. So I "uninstalled" Google, which of course only brings it down to the base install. Still crashing. Then I installed latest Google update. Still crashing. Then I rebooted my phone. Stopped crashing. Fingers crossed this fixed it.

Thanks for the tip, just followed your approach to the letter and it's still in a continual crash loop. There is something fundamentally wrong with the app, the developer seems to be resisting this idea but they need to fix it rather than deflecting it onto other apps.

Same problem here AND my album artwork will no longer download (it used to work started having trouble about a week before mma started crashing.

One last update: MMA scanned folders on my phone, which took about four hours. Once that finished, I synced the phone to MMW, which also worked fine. This morning, I synced again and correctly got the nothing to sync message. I also explored all around my MMA music, including going into About Mediamonkey -> Send Logs, which was crashing about once a second -- again, no problems. So I'm pronouncing my copy of MMA working. I'm sorry what worked for me didn't work for you. Best of luck getting MMA working! I know I was devastated when mine broke!

Constant crashing of MMA here too since the last few days. I've checked the Google app and there's no update available.

Same problem here.

The google app was up to date and I just selected uninstall and MMA starts working.

I've been having the same problem for several days. At first MMA would crash in a minor way with an error message something about 'searching for updated artwork'. After the crash it would continue to work, but would usually crash again within a few minutes, and often multiple times. Then it might appear to work normally for a while. But for the past day or so it started to completely crash, meaning the app itself would shut down, then start up, then crash again, and again and again.

I came here to see if it was just me, and I saw that it wasn't. I saw the suggestion to update Google to a newer version, but the only version on Play Store is the same one dated 8/6 that I already had. So I chose to uninstall Google, reboot my phone, then re-install Google. MMA then hard-crashed 3 or 4 times, then started working OK and has been OK ever since. I synced my phone via USB several times to make sure that worked right. It's been about 6 hours now without a crash. I'm hoping things have righted themselves now. If not you'll be the first to know...

Thanks for sharing your experience, I have tried this and unfortunately still experiencing crashes. I will say that if I persevere the crashes do seem to stop, but then after a while randomly start again.

There's obviously something not right that the developer needs to address.
