New install, all music grayed out.

First time using MM. I have a SR15 DAP music player which I installed over a thousand songs through Astell&Kern AK CD Ripper. Due to this, Over five hundred songs have no artist information. Just shows various. Hard to use when artists not showing. Fast forward to now. Installed MM to add missing tags. Due to my inexperience with this process, I wasted a few days adding all missing information including some artwork. Unfortunately for me, all of my files were grayed out (which I can now see). Everything showed up on MM but will not let me either play or load back onto my digital player. Shows the ubiquitous "file is inaccessible" message. I have tried re scanning (File > Add/Rescan Files) the files into the Library but all that does is double up on my files and they are still grayed out. What I don't understand is that the program allows me to change tags and shows those changes but won't let me either play or upload?

Where are you scanning the files from?

The files are on my HDD.

I had transferred music from my DAP to my computer on the C drive and then installed MM.

Check the Path MediaMonkey shows with the Path File Explorer has for the files. They should match. Also what File Type(s) are causing problems?

Can you open and play a file from File Explorer with MediaMonkey?

The media path is C:\users\gerry\music.......

This is the same path as for the couple that are not grayed out.

And all files I have are .wav files.

That's only part of the Path, the full Path needs to match. Can you play a greyed out file? If not, presumably not, can you open the same file from File Explorer and play it in MediaMonkey?

So I tried playing my files and they now are playing. I also tried to upload to my player and it all worked great. I don't know what I did wrong (or right) but its working now. (I did have two copies of my files on my computer and did delete one) Thanks all for your help.
