Middle List Screen Loses Top Area when Drag and Dropping Playlists [#16981]
The following video clip shows how a "gap" develops at the top of the middle area of the screen when dragging and dropping Playlists from the Imported Playlists to the Playlist node above.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aq17lc7vjiwlt ... 1.mp4?dl=0
Note: I renamed the Imported Playlists to $$$Imported Playlist simply to get it at the top of the list.
The problem does not happen when positioned at the top of the list and dragging from anywhere in the list. However, when you scroll down the list, the gap of blank space seems proportionate to how far down the list you scroll.
It is very difficult to recover this blank space. I find it is best to close MMW5 and re-open to clear the issue.
Hope this is useful feedback.

Trying to fix this, but I cannot replicate the issue.
Were you testing the latest MM5 build 2268 ?
What do you see if you expand the view dropdown like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/835uvm76itlvs ... 0.png?dl=0
Do you have the same configuration?

I get a drop down with:
Views:
.....Grid
.....List
View Elements:
.....Tree (Playlists)
.....Status Bar
Customise:
.....Image Size
.....Manage Views
Not quite as many options as your example.

OK, so you are most probably testing an old build?
If you go to menu Help > About
do you see 5.0.0.2268 there ?

Sorry - I meant to say - I put the versions of the software I am using in my signature.
It 2268 for MMW5 and 1913 for MMW4.

Then I don't understand how you could see a diferrent dropdown list in the View dropdown.
If you install build 2268 to a clean folder (not on the top of previous build) as portable version, does the issue still appear?
Could you please zip your 2268 install folder and share via a dropbox link? e.g. send me the link via private message.

Hi,
This issues is fixed in 2271 and should also improve other parts on MM5 where this change is influencing UI.

Video Clips of 2272 Installation Experience - Part One
The following videos show what the 2272 installation experience is like and how MMW5 looks / feels after the initial install on an older PC. A few things make the experience less than ideal.
https://octoberclub-my.sharepoint.com/: ... Q?e=4adHCy
A couple of minutes spent doing a portable installation and pointing folders with music and playlists. Stops at the registration point to hide my license key. So far things are OK.
https://octoberclub-my.sharepoint.com/: ... Q?e=i55uxy
This 2 min clip is after the registration key entered and shows the dialogue box truncated. Now things become interesting as I click through some menu options etc. Many menus / sub-menus etc are truncated. See the web page "off-centre"
https://octoberclub-my.sharepoint.com/: ... w?e=m8s7Wb
OK so the library has 31k files after a 26 minute update. Scan results box a little clipped. Great to see the "tiles" populated quickly but notice when scrolling that we get blank areas of screen. Many minutes of clicking around and scrolling. Sometimes it is OK, other times not so good. About 3 minutes 30s in with the "Artists" node shows a bit of a problem. A minute or so later with Years - something similar.
Then I click on "Send Logs" get an error and seem to freeze and end up with a white screen.
Part two will show many of these annoyances overcome.... Maybe a bit later today or sometime tomorrow.

1) Scan results shows fine here. Are you using a different DPI or Text Size in Windows?
2) Also can't reproduce the scrolling black out issue with the grid in the Filelisting.

Hi Lowlander,
Using the recommended text size / scaling.
BUT if I change to 125% (whilst MM5 is open) and then flip back to 100%, then ALL the menu options appear to be correct e.g. I can the Exit under File and Submit Crash Logs Automatically under Help / Debug
Also black out issue seems to go away as well.
This is the follow up video - after changing the skin and after loading most of the "Tile" artwork.
https://octoberclub-my.sharepoint.com/: ... Q?e=ZoFfis
I do not have comparable issues with MMW4 (version as per signature). I can do a "click / scroll" around vid for MMW4 if that helps.
Be nice to know if I am an isolated case due perhaps to age of PC or the hardware or something...? But if other users are experiencing - particularly new users - then I think they might get a poor impression and not use the software.
