Re: MMA 2.0 release date?
No, Ventis Media doesn't set release dates. Releases will be released when they're deemed ready. Currently the main focus is on releasing MediaMonkey 5.

cheers mate, seems odd though.
Re: MMA 2.0 release date?
At this point, I think "Media Monkey 2.0" is their cute way of saying "On the backlog". I've been waiting for the ability to edit genres and artists on android since Obama was president.
Re: MMA 2.0 release date?
It is being developed, but the schedule is to get MediaMonkey 5 out of the door first, then MediaMonkey for Android 2.0 will get the attention for release.

Re: MMA 2.0 release date?
Is there at least a ballpark for the MMW5 release date? I realize a fixed date isn't going to be provided, but are we months away? Years? Decades? Help me set my expectations appropriately. I love the product, at least 95% of it. My issue is that 5% represents a significant block in my ability to use it to do what I need to do.

Re: MMA 2.0 release date?
They seem to be gearing for MM5 to be released sometime in the near future (since they've been recently talking about it being almost ready for release).
As Lowlander said they probably won't give you a release date, but I wouldn't be surprised if the first version comes out within the next few months. Personally, MM5 is stable and usable enough for me to be a complete replacement for MM4. It's gone a long way even in the past 4-5 months that I've been using it, when it comes to bug fixes.
Also, if there are any features that are still missing, and if they haven't been mentioned yet on the MM5 beta testing forum (https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=30) you should submit a feature request there.

I uploaded many addons to MM's addon page, but not all of those were created by me. "By drakinite, Submitted by drakinite" means I made it on my own time. "By Ventis Media, Inc., Submitted by drakinite" means it may have been made by me or another MediaMonkey developer, so instead of crediting/thanking me, please thank the team. You can still ask me for support on any of our addons.
Re: MMA 2.0 release date?
MediaMonkey 5 is nearing the end, but the MediaMonkey release schedule is, it's ready when it's ready. ETA's were used in the past to only end up being missed. However the development of MediaMonkey 5 is in the stage of fixing the remaining issues. Most feature requests are being postponed to 5.0.1 or 5.1 at this point.
