Click/drag to highlight items not working [#17029, #17763]

I have a playlist with a couple of tracks in. If I click anywhere (e.g. underneath them) and hold down the left button to drag a selection up and around those tracks it doesn't select them when I release the mouse button (see image). Is that expected behaviour?

Don't know if this issue is fixable but it's still present in the latest RC-3.

It's not marked as fixed.

I wasn't sure, it's just the latest RC says "This build fixes all remaining issues. Please let us know if you find anything else that needs to be fixed before the release."

This is set for 5.1 not 5.0.x versions.

Re-targeted to 5.0.4 (not sure why it was targeted for 5.1)
