I have a huge music library split by Artist.
I am trying to add/scan some artists to work on my library a little at a time. Instead of opening the Add/Scan GUI and then selecting all 50 of my "A" artists, then 50 "B" artists..
I would like to be able to enter M:\Music\A* in an ini file if need be.
It would make my work much faster.

Re: MM5 Add/Scan Partial Folders
In the MediaMonkey.ini there is value LastScannedFolders
Mine looks like:
Just note that there is performance issue in the Add/Rescan dialog with hundreds of folders, this is being worked on as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=18227
Mine looks like:
Code: Select all
LastScannedFolders=$"C:\Temp\testing\",false,"C:\Temp\mp4\Petr Gabriel\",false,"C:\!!! Video\",false,"C:\MP3\",false,"C:\!--Filmy\Svatba\",false,"C:\Temp\test\Platonius\",false,"C:\MP3\Air\Premiers Symptomes [US]\",false$
Re: MM5 Add/Scan Partial Folders
It seems like you don't have letter folders for your Artist folders? Am I correct? Otherwise it would be easy.

That is another good idea. Thanks.
Re: MM5 Add/Scan Partial Folders
How would I do auto-organize with letters there?
Now it is <artist>/<Album>/<track#>-<Title>. How would I get it to auto put the A artists in A folder then <artist>/<Album>/<track#>-<Title>?
Would I have to use a custom field and put A for A artists.. then do <custom1>/<artist>/<Album>/<track#>-<Title>?

Re: MM5 Add/Scan Partial Folders
Hi,
Try with "<artist:1>\<artist>\<Album>\<track#>-<Title>"
Try with "<artist:1>\<artist>\<Album>\<track#>-<Title>"
