Bomb vs Unknown

Post by MPG »

Hi,
I never track my songs with any stars or bombs. I prefer all of my songs to be rated as unknown. IMHO, No stars means it's a bomb (a song a person doesn't like), where as unknown means it hasn't been rated. There doesn't appear to be a way to do that in MM5.

Anyone figure out a way to set a songs rating to Unknown?
TIA

Guess it's what you made of it.

For me, "no rating" means "no rating", 1 star is "really bad", 5 Stars ist "top rated", but you can handle ist as you like best. There is no given meaning, its just a number.

I guess it's a hold over from MM4 where there was a distinct difference between unknown and no stars (bomb).

There is both a 0 (or bomb) Rating and Unknown. Right click on a file and use My Rating in the Context Menu and you should see both as options.

thanks lowlander,
it's frustrating that you have to go outside of the properties window to set that value.

In Properties, right click on the Rating and select Remove rating from the Context Menu.

I'm using the Monkey Groove skin and when I right mouse click a tiny little box shows up with no text.

It's only available if the file has a Rating value.
