After ejecting and replacing of CD, Manual Lookup is required [#19011]

Post by MMMM »

I think I started having this issue after upgrading from 4 to 5. The previous behavior was after putting a CD in my drive, the CD info was looked up and displayed. After ripping and the ejection took place, that information was removed, and after putting in another CD, it was automatically looked up and displayed. Now I have to manually choose, "Lookup audio CD metadata", and sometimes I have to do this multiple times, and sometimes I need to manually eject the new CD and close put it back in the drive. I also noticed that I used to be able to right-click on the drive and choose "Eject" and that option is no longer available. Is this simply the way MMW5 works now?

Hi,
I am not able to replicate non CD detection and manual lookup is needed.

Can you rename "CDplayer.ini" from "%APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\" and start MM again?

As for eject I added it as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19011

Test Note: I used clean MM5 portable installation (no previous CD searches are done and no cdplayer.ini) then inserted 20+ cds one by one and all were searched and found automatically (few even had multiple entries to choose from).

Thank you Peke! Renaming "CDplayer.ini" from "%APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\" and restarting worked! And thank you for adding the missing "Eject" as an issue.
