Right click select fails
Just loaded MMW 2627 and a new bug is apparent and repeatable.
After selecting multiple tracks on a playlist node, a right click brings up the menu for a fraction of a second before it disappears. If I right click multiple times, the dialogue box eventually stays open and functions as it should.
I also notice the highlighting on the tracks flickers off and on repeatedly without any input from me, even after I successfully input some changes using the dialogue box.
Quite annoying but nothing crashes.
I have a log file recorded from a fresh start.

What Skin are you using and does the problem persist after a PC restart? Also are you using any different DPI or Text Size settings in Windows?
I'm unable to reproduce.

It is consist and recurs all the time.
I am using Metro M (Classic) with everything stock.
If you open a ticket, I can send the first log file I captured, which was from a clean MM5 start.
I can also generate another log file from a reboot and clean MM5 start.
MM 2627 has also restored the malfunction of leaving 4 processes running after it shuts down, then either refusing to restart or crashing. I'm running the debug version and it already auto generated an autolog for this bug. The 2627 shutdown sequence is hanging exactly like it did under ticket 4169, which has been closed.

Yes, please attach a log to a ticket if you have one.

What is your monitor configuration (# of monitors, arrangement, resolution, and scaling)? Are you using MediaMonkey maximized (taking the full screen) or using part of the screen? I've seen this happen before, but not in a little while. I don't remember what caused it.

I uploaded many addons to MM's addon page, but not all of those were created by me. "By drakinite, Submitted by drakinite" means I made it on my own time. "By Ventis Media, Inc., Submitted by drakinite" means it may have been made by me or another MediaMonkey developer, so instead of crediting/thanking me, please thank the team. You can still ask me for support on any of our addons.

Re: Right click select fails
Four log files have been submitted under ticket 4359.
Two are for the the multiple right click before stable menu problem.
Two are for the improper shutdown leading to subsequent crashes. This is a similar issue to the one reported on ticket 4169, which was resolved. It has returned in MM 2627 only now I see in Task Manager that MM5 is leaving five processes behind instead of four.
BTW, I have used MM5 since day one (upgrade from MM4) with the same video card and dual monitors. The monitors are Benq GL2480-T. The video card is an Nvidia 9600GT, the computer is a custom Gigabyte i9 with dual 2 TB nVME drives.

Re: Right click select fails
Just to confirm as per first post above, this does occur for me sometimes, or frequently, depending on the mood of the day.
I frequently use the all tracks node, filtered or searched, to edit tags, etc
Select two or three adjacent tracks, right-click, and the menu flashes on screen and disappears. After a few more tries it usually sticks open.
This was better a few versions ago, but this latest 2627 is doing it again this morning.
(ps Late discovery due to inactivity on my part - I haven't used it much at all since it came out, due to other summertime activities.)
My setup is a basic HP Envy laptop with windows 10 fully updated and an SSD installed.

Re: Right click select fails
This feature is presenting itself again today in version 2659.
Right click on selected track or tracks, and the menu flashes up and disappears. Repeats severla times no matter where I righ-click.
Eventually after un-selecting and re-selecting and it works fine again.
This was occurring in list by album view displaying the results of a search.

Re: Right click select fails
I experienced it (again) a lot in 2659 also, but it seems to be gone in 2660.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.
Re: Right click select fails
Agreed - seems better in 2660 so far.

Re: Right click select fails
This problem still exists in MMW 5.0.4.2690. Someday when I have a couple hours of library maintenance to do in MM5, I'll have to just let debug run along aside and send the log when this occurs.
Re: Right click select fails
I agree, this annoying feature has been presenting itself again more frequently in recent times.
It occurs mostly in list by album view, maybe because that is what I use most, and can occur whether I have one track or multiple tracks selected. Trying the right-click along different locations within the selection block sometimes makes it stay up.
I have also had it occur when selecting a playlist, and wanting to go right-click, edit, I have to try several times til the menu sticks.
I suppose I should also reload the debug version and see if it happens there. Such a pain.
