i knew i was forgetting something..
that was stupid of me...

i do see something else weird.

1. When I change the cover for 1 artiest, it's also applying it for the next song from a different artist.
2. When I do 4 auto tags, for some of them the lyrics are not in there, so i do it manually.
then the lyrics from the 1st song that i had tagged, is appearing on the 2 or 3rd song.

Thanks!

I've been able to replicate the artwork problem: tracked at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19543

I haven't been able to replicate the lyrics issue, though. Can you clarify: do you edit the lyrics _within_ the auto-tag dialog and that triggers lyrics for the other tracks to update within the auto-tag dialog?

when I did auto tag, and hit save so it closes.
when I check the songs, I don't see lyrics.
So I click on the glass, so it gets the lyrics, and then it shows the lyrics form the 1st artist that I had selected for auto tag.
then I do the 2nd, and then it's fine.
Then I go back to the 1st one, and then it's ok.
Almost like a Cache issue

edit: and thanks for posting the bug in Mantis :)

Thanks for the description, but I'm having trouble understanding / replicating the lyrics issue. To clarify:
1 when I did auto tag, and hit save so it closes.
Just to make sure: in Tools > Options > Metadata lookup > Auto-tagging:Metadata:Audio , is 'Lyrics' enabled?
2 when I check the songs, I don't see lyrics.
Where are you checking the songs? Are you looking in the tracklist? The Preview window? If in the tracklist, what node/view (e.g. Music > Artists > ArtistName [ Listview ] ) ?
3 So I click on the glass, so it gets the lyrics, and then it shows the lyrics form the 1st artist that I had selected for auto tag. then I do the 2nd, and then it's fine.
Do you mean that you select one of the tracks, click the Properties dialog, go to the lyrics tab, and see that the lyrics are missing? And then click the 'Search lyrics' button (the magnifying glass) to lookup lyrics?
4 Then I go back to the 1st one, and then it's ok.
If you looked up lyrics at Step 3, and clicked 'OK" that would explain why they're saved.

Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks!

Hi,

I didn't know you could preview it ,before it gets saved.
It normally downloads the lyrics with the auto tag. (its enabled in the setup)
once everything is done, it closes and I see all my tracks again

then I click on the properties of the track and select the lyrics tab. then nothing shows.
I click on the glass, and thats when it shows the wrong one.

I will play around, and try to record it, and see if i can make it fail again. if that helps.

Based on the fact that you're not able to preview lyrics in the auto-tag dialog, I believe that you don't have lyrics lookup enabled for auto-tagging, and the reason lyrics are sometimes being looked up but not saved to the tag is because you have lyrics set to automatically lookup (but not save) as a background process.

I would suggest, in Tools > Options > Metadata lookup:
1) In the 'Background metadata lookup' section: disable 'lyrics' (this setting determines whether MM automatically looks up lyrics independently of auto-tag)
2) In the 'Auto-tagging' section, under 'Audio', click 'Select...' and enable 'Lyrics'

Note also that in the Properties dialog, the magnifying glass is a 'Find/Lookup' command for when lyrics don't exist. i.e. it's not finding anything from a cache. It's looking up lyrics period.

Hopefully the above clarifies, and is the reason why auto-tagging isn't working for lyrics for you.
