Songs with same name point to wrong version [#19868]

I've got a number of songs where the song and artist are the same but the album is different. For instance, I've got a number of live Wilco albums so have multiple songs where the song title is (e.g.) "Muzzle of Bees [Live]" and the artist is Wilco, but the album will be different (e.g. Capitol Theatre, New York, 28 October 2014" and "Kicking Televsion: Live in Chicago". In MMW these point to and play the correct version, however in MMA they point to the wrong version of the song. I've checked a few songs where this applies and it's occurred in many, but not all cases.

I'm using MMW 5.0.4.2690 and MMA 1.4.4.0956 on a Galaxy A53 running Android 13.

Can you confirm your MMW5 settings for the device > Sync Profile > File Locations > Music ? (it should be something like \Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Track #:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title> )

Also, if possible, could you in MMA > Help > Send logs > Save the log file and send it to us via our helpdesk (when you save the log file in this manner, it also saves the DB and we'd like to analyze it).

Lastly, we're getting ready to release MMA 2.0 and it has a ton of sync-related improvements. Can you update and retest with MMA 2.0 beta? i.e.
1) To test out MMA 2 beta builds, in MMA, tap Options | About | Register for test builds. Once you're registered, then your next update will be to the MMA beta build! To trigger the update right away, go to MediaMonkey in the Play store and click 'Update'.

The MM5 settings have it as \Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Track #:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title>, but it's a library that was originally set up using a different app so not all folders will strictly conform to that. Is there an easy way to reorganise the library?

I've sent the error logs and will try setting up MMA2.0

We'll have a fix for this in MediaMonkey for Windows 5.1 (we'll start beta testing it soon). The issue is tracked at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=19868

As to using MM to organize your tracks:
- On your PC: Use the MMW auto-organize tool to organize them
- On your Portable device: In MMW, set Devices & Services > DeviceName > Sync Profile > File Locations > Enforce use of the sync mask for files already on 'DeviceName' to enabled.
