Play list does not advance to playing song [#20934]
Debug: 5.1.0.2832 - Right panel/play list does not advance after to show the new song. Scrolling finds the new song highlighted. Artwork changes to new song. Should playlist view advance automatically to show the current song? Playing to HEOS system on Dell PC, windows 10.

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song
So, this is when casting and you don't have Stop after enabled?
Does this persist with the latest MediaMonkey 2024 beta?

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song
1) casting to HEOS device
2) Stop after is Off
3) I was on 5.1.0.2832. I will try 2024.0.0.3005 Beta debug version.

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song
This will happen if you have sorted the now playing list view. Other times it works fine for me

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song
That is what I found out as well. Now that I know it, I can live with it. Would be great if the 'now playing' song followed if the list was sorted. I have been sorting my shuffled playlist as I rank 1000's of songs and then remove the ranked songs from the playlist after each start-up. I have tried un-shuffling /re-shuffling at the bottom of the page to no avail. Am I missing something?

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song
Apparently there is coming soon a bugfix, so after sort you can menu update order, or f5 to refresh and then it will again accept drag and drop and play in display order.
There are some reluctant users who want to sort now playing independently of the playing order who are causing all this grief...mm

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song
So I went from 5.1.0.2832 to 2024.0.0.3005 Beta debug version to see if it made a difference and it did not. However, my songs were not advancing at all in 2024.0.0.3005. On a hunch, I went back to 2832 and everything started working again. What is the best way to report this issue on 2024?

Please capture it in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song [#20934]
This too would be solved if we were to simply accept that playing list ALWAYS plays in displayed order.....

Re: Play list does not advance to playing song [#20934]
Agree, that is the only rational way for it to behave - the next song visibly down in the Now Playing list should be the next song played, even after the sequence is changed.
Cheers
