First of all, the version I am using is 5.0.5.2695 Standard edition.
I would definitely consider purchasing should the development for Mac comes to fruition. The UI is still a bit 'clunky' for my liking, but other skins could help that.
Back to the problem...
I ripped a CD by an unknown band and naturally, didn't expect to find it on the Musicbrainz database. I have an account for Musicbrainz so uploaded all the CD details - songs, song lengths, musicians, artwork etc - nothing was missing. However, MediaMonkey could not autotag the CD, even after a few hours.
Strangely enough, Foobar2000 which also has an add-on for Musicbrainz couldn't find it either.
Does this look like a Musicbrainz problem rather than MediaMonkey's?

I will do, I'm not sure how long Musicbrainz takes to push out its updates but this will be a good test to find out.
Re: Audio CD metadata lookup for Musicbrainz doesn't work
MediaMonkey connects to its own hosted copy, so it will take a bit.

Re: Audio CD metadata lookup for Musicbrainz doesn't work
UPDATE
I don't think Musicbrainz is working for Media Monkey or Foobar2000. Neither will identify the album and artist I added over a month ago. It's got its own MBID and all the associated links so should be retrievable by any external application using the Musicbrainz API.
Now when it comes to meta-tagging, I'm very much the OCD type making sure all information is given so it's not like I'm missing anything.
The fact that Foobar2000 can't find it suggests either Musicbrainz isn't communicating or I've done something wrong adding the release. But Musicbrainz are quite specific about the information added to their DB and the entry ticks all of their boxes for inclusion. The error in Media Monkey is during the fingerprinting process and ends up with a 'fail' status.

Re: Audio CD metadata lookup for Musicbrainz doesn't work
The error may already be fixed in the latest MediaMonkey 2024 beta.
As for the Album, can you open a Support Ticket and add to it, the Album name/Album Artist, the URL to the MusicBrainz entry for it, and a debug log (step 4b) capturing the entering and loading of the CD in MediaMonkey?
