I am running MM5-Gold
I have several boxed sets of albums that I would like to group as a series.
In the Music node, I have enabled the Series sub-node .
However, when I show the listing for the Series, the names are just the same as the Album names.
There doesn't seem to be any way to edit these fields and I can't see a Series field in the Properties panel.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Creating a series of albums
Series is used for video files and is the equivalent of Album for music files. There is no method to group different Albums together.

Re: Creating a series of albums
You can always use GROUPING (Details TAB) or even better One of custom Fields for box sets grouping.

Re: Creating a series of albums
I'm pretty late to this post, but I was just looking up something similar. I'm not very technical, so hope it's clear.
I did more searching around and it seems the wiki shows this in more detail: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... ollections
but here is my original explanation anyhow:
I have just stumbled upon the option to "Configure Collections and Nodes". Basically you can add/remove/reorganize the list on the left side (Home | Playing | Music | Playlists, etc.) You just right click on one of the collections in the list and it'll give you the "Configure Collections and Nodes" option.
I've added a node and created a filter so, for example, all separate albums from Final Fantasy XIV are in one place, kind of like an automatic playlist. This doesn't separate them out within the "albums" area as I had hoped, but it makes for a quick access, at least.
I don't know if this helps, but I just stumbled on it and thought I would share.
