Access Violation - Trying to play anything

Post by DSAJones »

Hi. I only downloaded MM at the weekend and it's been brilliant in terms of trying to organise all the files and folders to get back to a coherent music library. I wasn't really intending to use it as my music player on the PC but it's useful to have it. But at the moment it won't play anything. Every time I try I get this error popped up

Application throw an exception Access violation at address 00969E29 in module MediaMonkeyEngine.exe. Read of address 00000000.

This seems to have happened after I accidentally renamed a music file when I was browsing in File Explorer. The next time I ran a scan it popped it up as a missing file. I could see immediately what I'd done so I went back to File Explorer, renamed the file back to what MM was expecting and reran the scan. For a couple of times this threw up a box for locating a missing file (even though it wasn't missing anymore) but that's a Gold option and I haven't yet decided to go Gold. A couple more scans and it seemed to be happy and the file and track details in MM are now correct. But every time I try and play anything (not just that track) I get the error. Any ideas what this is?

Please capture this error in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643

This will help a developer analyze why this happens on your setup.

OK, that's been done and log submitted via a support ticket.
