I have a custom field I use for numerical values. I called it Number. I know the custom fields are saved as strings, but I only enter numbers in this one.
The problem occurs only when I apply a limit when sorting by this custom field in an autoplaylist. EX:
When I make an autoplaylist, I sort by Number. Without a limit, this works fine. Notice the number column goes 1, 2, 3, 4...etc
When I apply a limit of say 10, the sorting seems to revert sorting by alphanumerical order? Notice the numbers going 1, 10, 100, 101.
When I apply a greater limit of say 50, the sorting kind of works for part of it. Notice it jumps 1, 10, but then 11, 12, 13, 14, then 100 101 etc...
I'm curious why it works fine with no limit, but when there is one then it fails to sort correctly. I brought a similar issue about this a few years ago, but the ticket is currently marked as failure to reproduce.
