Scanning, changing parameters in a smart playlist, changing to a new song, etc...
Everything has about a 4-second delay.
Just thought you'd like to know.
(I installed today because 3151 was randomly shutting down. I have now rolled back to 3152 which is working as expected.)

Re: FYI 3153 Running Incredibly Slow
Hi,
I am unable to replicate on 200k library and both Vanilla install and Upgrade 3152 -> 3153.
For me 3153 is even faster by 10% than 3152.
Can you please follow steps from viewtopic.php?t=86643 and send us ZIP of Debug log?

James,
Alternatively, can you send us a copy of your database and a couple of other files? It's a large file so best would be to share it using a file service (e.g. dropbox) via our helpdesk. The files are at:
Windows 11 / 10:
%APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\MM5.DB
%APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\MediaMonkey.ini
%APPDATA%\MediaMonkey5\persistent.json
Portable Mode:
In the ‘Portable’ subdirectory of the location to which MediaMonkey was installed. e.g.
<MediaMonkey Portable Install Folder>\Portable\MM5.DB
<MediaMonkey Portable Install Folder>\Portable\MediaMonkey.ini
<MediaMonkey Portable Install Folder>\Portable\persistent.json
Thanks!

Re: FYI 3153 Running Incredibly Slow
One other question: does this occur only while playing tracks? Or is it independent of playback?
Thanks!

Is it just MediaMonkey? For me this weeks Windows 10 updates has significantly impacted performance across all apps.

Re: FYI 3153 Running Incredibly Slow
There isn't any change between 3152 and 3153 that could affect performance.
Could you please:
1) Run DbgView and generate debug log using 3152 ( see item 4B here: viewtopic.php?
f=30&t=86643 )
2) Install 3153 debug, run DbgView and generate debug log using 3153 to compare both logs
Attach them to eSuport ticket or upload the file to a free file hosting service (DropBox, RapidShare, FileDropper, MediaFire, ...) and share just the link to the file.
Thanks!

Re: FYI 3153 Running Incredibly Slow
Sorry all, I didn't have time to do any reinstallation and bug testing over the past couple of weeks, and my laptop is currently doing some high-intensity stuff for the next few days. Will get back to you eventually.
But just to clarify, other apps were behaving completely normally. The delays were happening when I changed playlists, refreshed auto playlists with new parameters or skipped to a new song, just about anything that involved the database, it seems.
It happened whether music was playing or not.
3152 has had some random shutdowns on me as well lately, like 3151 did.
