Buy MMA Pro ♥ But I don't want to use any Google Pay methods.

Post by Bakoes »

Is there an option to buy MMA pro,
without using google pay options?

I don't want them to have any more info on me then necessary.

And what if I want to use MMA later on another android phone without using Gurgle play store?
If I bought it on Google, it will probably not be usable, right?

Or if I want to use it with another gmail account... :-?

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in MediaMonkey for Android.

Currently, the only other store through which MediaMonkey for Android Pro is sold is the Amazon store. Given the upcoming termination of the Amazon App store on devices other than Amazon Fire devices, we'll look into the possibility of another alternative, but we don't have anything to announce at this time. :-(

I don't know what country you are in, but in the UK Google Play gift cards can be purchased in many supermarkets. I assume you could just buy one using cash, then add it to your account and pay with it.

Amazon App Store Decom

Post by Kapkirk1 »

For MM users that have purchased their MM through Amazon App Store, there is a message stating:

"Amazon Appstore on Android Devices will be discontinued on August 20, 2025"

I have MM, MM Pro, & MM Ringtone (3rd party app) through the Appstore. Without availability of the appstore I am unsure of how I will be able to maintain my updates/installations after August 20th.

Does MM have a process or plan for Android users that are currently able to update their Android installations?

I meant to submit this questions a couple of months ago when the message first appeared on the Appstore, but got side tracked. I imagine this would impact a number of people from the MM community.

Hi,
We are all waiting to see what will happen, but Amazon Shopping app List MMA as available app for purchase without using Amazon app store. We are seeking answers from Amazon, but no concrete answers received.

Hi Kapkirk1,

To further elaborate on Peke's answer:
As you pointed out, Amazon has indicated that their app store will be terminated for non-amazon devices: "[Notice] Support for Amazon Appstore for Android on Mobile devices will be discontinued on August 20, 2025. Amazon Appstore will continue to be available and supported on Fire TV, Fire Tablet and Fire TV built-in products."

Our plan is to continue offering MMA / MMA Pro for Amazon devices, but there is no mechanism by which we can migrate users from the Amazon App Store to another app store, as we do not have records of which users purchased MMA Pro.

At the same time, we're considering whether to offer MMA / MMA Pro on another app store for users who aren't comfortable using the Google ecosystem (though at the moment, we're not aware of any app store alternative that is both popular and trusted).

Thank you, Rusty. That makes sense and appreciate the clarifications.

Google might be have to be an option to update my non-Amazon devices.

I really need to get my systems updated to 2024 version, but have been hesitant due to this reason.

Thanks, again.
