Art in Tags vs Folder.jpg – Which Is Better for Music Libraries?

Hi everyone,

I’m organizing my music collection using Media Monkey and came across a common question:

Should album artwork be embedded inside the audio file’s tags, or saved as a separate file like folder.jpg?

I’m looking for the best option in terms of:

Syncing to Android devices

Compatibility with various media players

Storage efficiency and loading speed

Metadata portability when files are moved

From what I’ve read, embedded art is more reliable across devices, but using folder.jpg can save space when you have many songs with the same album art.
