Hi,
I've come across some play behaviour that may not be intended, and for me is a major inconvenience. I play songs from a static playlist by loading them into the Playing pane, and I will frequently have one song automatically stop before playing the next by using the Stop After Current control.
I will then sometimes want to start the next track some way in from the start (eg avoid speaking, audience or intro music) and so for the next song (not yet playing) I will relocate the playing pointer some distance along the wave bar, for example 1 min, before clicking on the Play control.
What I would like to have happen is that the play commences from where I had relocated the play indicator to.
What happens instead is that when I press the Play button the play indicator resets to the start of the song and plays all that stuff that I was trying to avoid. I can of course then stop the play, again relocate the pointer and start play again, but it doesn't seem to me that this should be the intended behaviour.
The update I would like to see is for play to commence at the current position of the play pointer, not necessarily the start of the file.
Cheers
Matt

Thanks for reporting, although the bug may be different from what you seek to do: https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=21731
You can use Start time in the Properties to set a time playback should (always) start for that file.

Re: Play Indicator resets on Play [#21731]
Lowlander,
Thanks for that. I do routinely utilise Stop After to play just two or three tracks, and the playing select then moves to the next track and play stops with that next track selected. I then want to (occasionally) change the start point of that next track via relocating the play pointer, but can't find a way to do it simply. I can do it with added external complications (volume down, relocate, volume up etc) but the mouse movement of the play pointer would be much more elegant. So, I do think that my issue is the same as that reported in 21731.
Yes I do utilise the start and stop time properties for particular tracks, but for my purposes that has to be set up in advance.
Cheers
