DLNA/UpnP cannot decode

DLNA/UpnP cannot decode
While using MMW4, playing over a network, the music stops in the middle of a song and the message, "Playback Failed: Marantz SACD30n (DLNA.UpnP cannot decode," pops up. In the process of trying to fix this, I upgraded to MMW5, and the problem persists. After exploring possible solutions in Support, I'm now at a dead end and am requesting assistance.

Hi,
Make sure you are using latest version from https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 86639&sd=d
Also what type of files you are trying to play as it is possible that it is not supported see streaming specs at https://www.marantz.com/en-us/product/c ... rs/sacd30n

Re: DLNS/UpnP cannot decode
Thank you, Peke. I am using 5.0.4.2661. The "cannot decode" issue occurred during the playback of a Flac file, the file format which I almost exclusive use going back five years or so with MM. The same message occurs with Mp3 and Wav files. MM appears to be reaching my playback device. FLAC Format Plug-in 1.3.30 is installed, along with MediaMonkey Wav Playerv1.0 and MP Player v2.0.
The playback unit has been rebooted, up to date firmware, and reset to factory settings.

Re: DLNA/UpnP cannot decode
Thank you, Peke. I did post a ticket, indicating that I did get playback to function properly...for one song plus 12 seconds of the next when the problem reasserted itself.
Re: DLNA/UpnP cannot decode
Thank you again for the support. I found the time to replace the dll. Doing so allowed me to play continuously for about 3 hours. Then at 1:18 in playback of a tune, the ABBB000 message popped-up: Code C0000005 (Exception_Access_Violation) Address: (000AB47a){UpNp.dll } [)BA^B$&A] = $0
I did forward the error message via internet.

Re: DLNA/UpnP cannot decode
I am having this exact problem trying to play a playlist to my Sonos speakers.
After about an hour of playing it will going quiet and seem to 'pause', then just stop with an error message like this:
"Playback failed: Kitchen - SYMFONISK Bookshelf Media Renderer RINCON_347E5C3FCA4601400 (DLNA/UPnP) cannot decode
F:\My_Music\_Various\Sophie Jiohnson - Television Satellite.mp3"
The SYMFONISK is an IKEA Sonos speaker.
The file then appears greyed out on the playlist, as if it has been deleted. IT HAS NOT BEEN DELETED.
I can play the next track and it carries on for a while (maybe an hour.)
I can also Queue_next the the greyed out track and it will return to normal font and will usually play.
The F: drive is a high speed SSD and has never had any problems playing all day through "Internal Player" on my PC
I have version 2024.0.1.3113 (which insists it's the latest version)
I have purchased Gold Membership a while ago (after upgrading from V4 gold)

Re: DLNA/UpnP cannot decode
I recommend try the latest 2024.2 release as it has some improvements in this area.
