MMW playback stops

Hello, I am running v2024.2.2.3222 on a Windows 10 PC, and lately, playback has been stopping randomly. I am usually playing my entire library on random. Playback stops at the end of a track when I am doing other things on the computer or when I am away from the computer. When I check MM, the seek indicator has stopped mid-way across the window. Playback will resume if I click the next button, so MM does not appear to be frozen completely. It seems to be happening with increasing frequency lately.

I, too, have had this problem -- for a couple of years now, with multiple versions of MM. Some versions do it less frequently than others, but it still happens every once in a while. Definitely an inconvenience!

Wow, there are many complicated steps to creating a debug log. I didn't know there was a "debug build" of MM.

Before I attempt to work through the steps, how can you or I be sure that the same problem will occur with the debug build that I am having with the current version?

It's the same version of MediaMonkey, it just enables logging.

I've had this happen randomly for a few years. it just stops playing music. then I have to click play or close it out and open it. now today it glitched up so bad i had to close it out and open it and play twice . and now the waveform is missing after that. how do i get the waveform to work again?
edit: i turned the waveform off and back on in the settings but it didn't unglitch it. still no waveform.
