remove genre from all of my mp3s ... ?

I've looked all over the site and could not find any script or way to do this within Media Monkey. I did it with mp3tag but then when I came back into MM they were all there again ... help a n00b?

Select all of your songs, click Edit Properties, blank the Genre field and make sure the checkbox next to it is ticked, click Ok.
